Hello,
I've got an inconstant tinnitus that starts 5-10min. after I lie down on a bed. It sounds like Morse Code, sometimes it occurs in both ears, sometimes in the left or right (louder). Each ear has a different tone height. Sometimes the intensity can change, after I roll in bed or move my arms.
I have gone through several medical checks – head & inner ear MRI which came out normal, my hearing is perfect, no problems with my ears were found.
I received two different cause theories from two doctors:
First - caused by stress, the tone in my ears is a pulsating nerve that gets supplied with blood when I lie down
Second - caused by neck issues, because vertebrae are in different position when lying down
I also have a very mild, constant tinnitus, not in my ears but in the lower back of my head. It sounds like pouring sand. So basically I am hearing 3 different sounds when trying to fall asleep. All this tinnitus combination started during the same week, about 5 months ago.
Please if you have any advice, or, similar experience I would appreciate your feedback.
Many thanks,
Andy
