My tinnitus is normally super loud and sometimes distressing, but after 7 years or so with it, I've sort of adapted to it.

My tinnitus is related to my neck, and I've had lots of therapy to try to fix it. I have learned that if I move my head upward as far as I can go and press on my jaw upward, my tinnitus will usually (but not always) almost completely shut off. It resumes as soon as my head returns to its normal position.

I'm not sure if this is success, but maybe this might help somebody else too.

Once Dr. Shore’s device is out and if you get your hands on one, there’s a good chance you'll have an actual success story with that loud, but very somatic tinnitus! (y)

Good to hear you found a trigger. What do you mean by moving your head upward? Do you watch the ceiling and shorten your neck? And with the jaw upward, you push this movement even further in the same direction?

      Well,

You know what silence sounds like. Albeit temporarily, you can achieve it when you want.

      That is a WIN.

      G'day.

Personally, I'd choose peace of mind over silence.
