Hey, I already have normal tinnitus. Thankfully I have learnt to cope with it and it no longer cause me any stress. The last couple of days though. My left ear keeps playing up. Everytime I talk or hear sound. It will flutter as if there's a moth in there.

I did stupidly stay up until 6am the night before due to work. I wonder if that has caused it. Oh, and I have BFS (Benign fasciculation syndrome). Maybe another cause? Has anyone had this and it has gone away?

Assuming BFS is to do with involuntary muscle twitching and you have no history of recent noise exposure, then BFS may be the cause. There is a tiny muscle called the tensor tympani muscle which can contract rhymnically giving the impression of a moth in the ear

Only a proper ENT and having the necessary diagnostic workup will confirm/deny this hypothesis
