Mine came on suddenly and for no discernible reason about 10 months ago. I had several nights with
zero sleep and my Doc gave me some sleeping medication, "enough to keep a horse down for 12 hours".
I was awake in 4.
My tinnitus is the old door bell in the hallway to the kitchen and it rings 24/7 about five feet from my
head. I get relief during the day using Anxiety Control, a herbal product that takes the edge off without
making you sleepy, so I can fully function. At night I use Zanex (sp?) and four bourbons and I get my
eight hours. I keep a fan on at night and the white noise it generates really makes a difference in how
deeply I sleep, big help.
Went to the tinnitus clinic up in Portland at OHSU (oregon) where I learned that I had lost a lot of my
in the high frequency zone and that the tinnitus pitch was in the same zone. So next week I'm seeing
to hearing specialists to try hearing aids.
By the way, I'm male, 6'6", 240 lbs, 69 years old and still in rather good shape for a curmudgeon.
