New to the Forum

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I'm an old dude; early 64. Have had tinnitus for approx. 3 and a half years.
Had somewhat grown used to it 'cause it came and went (would have 4 or 5 days of
the "bad" stuff, then it would calm down and I'd have a couple of days of relative calm).

However, a month ago, the situation changed: the tone grew sharper, more piercing, and
no more of those occasional "calm" days.

So, the panic and desperation commenced and I began reading the forum.
I'm so thankful you folks are here.

A warm welcome to tinnitus talk.
I would have your ears checked for wax build up and maybe a upto date hearing test just to check if there is a simple reason why your tinnitus has now remained for you.

The unwanted emotions can cause a bit of panic but try relax and take a few deep breaths as stress can make tinnitus spike too !
Im sure other members will be along to say hi and give you support.
