Hello all!
I am barely new to tinnitus. It all started when I was pressured into seeing a MD over my anxiety. I am 23 years old and have excellent hearing. Never have taken medication for anxiety before, but with my stressful job (I am a nurse) and moving away from my family my doctor thought it would be good for me to try Wellbutrin. I was on for 4-5 days with the T started. I stopped taking it the next day it started and was told after a few days it should subside. Well the T is still there after 5-6 weeks. It's not noticeable when I'm talking or when my tv is on at a decent sound level but my anxiety and fear of the tinnitus being permanent is really making me go crazy. I've been trying to read positive posts over tinnitus and came across this website. I went to ENT Doctor who basically said there was nothing I could do about my tinnitus, my hearing was normal and she suggested maybe I try a tinnitus clinic. I'm here looking for support and to maybe see a positive outlook on this. I've been mourning my old self and I just want to know if it gets better. Has anyone's tinnitus ever went away completely? Or has anyone gotten tinnitus after taking Wellbutrin? My tinnitus is constant and almost sounds as high pitched as a dog whistle.
