Normal?? Multiple Loudness Changes During a Day? Also, Reactive Tinnitus vs. Hyperacusis?

Just wondering who on the forum experiences multiple loudness changes in their T throughout the day? Mine will just spike out of nowhere for a few seconds and go back to normal level T. The spikes seem to occur only in the right ear. Also, are you able to manipulate your T by facial, jaw or muscle movement? Do these issues commonly occur with T, or is it a sign of something else going on?

I am also curious if there is a difference between reactive T and H? I feel like I have H, I am very sensitive to particular noise. It doesn't hurt my ears, but my T reacts to the noise and gets very loud for a moment then goes back to normal. Like when a cabinet door closes my T gets very loud with the slam then goes back down.

Thanks!

I'm curious to know the answer to this one as well, as I came here too looking for this answer. ;)
I have this issue since last week, I am currently being treated for another ear infection (pretty sure it is how my T started in the first place), all I know is in me it seems to be getting worse. :/

Same thing happens to me. Also only right ear. To be honest, these short spikes are not the problem. The problem is the constant T and the terrible headaches i sometimes get. I pray for habituation or remission.

My tinnitus usually changes volume throughout the day depending on surrounding noise. I have been dealing with this for about 9 weeks now. It gets worse (louder) when watching tv, listening to car radio, running the kitchen or bathroom sinks, or around loud groups of people. Almost as if it is competing with the other noise. It also gets louder when I'm stressed out. If I remove myself from the stimulous it usually goes down to a more manageable level. I cannot manipulate mine with my jaw or facial muscles though. From what I've read here this sort of T is more likely sound reactive tinnitus and not hyperacusis and I've also been told on this is fairly normal early on in tinnitus.
