I have always hated loud noises. when a siren goes down the street from 30 floors below my office i have to cover my ears until it's out of range, I hate the sound of paper crinkling and am very annoyed by the sneezing and coughing of others.
But what I'm most troubled by is the weird almost painful feeling I get when it suddenly goes silent. If I'm laying down and have white noise on to silence my tinnitus and the white noise suddenly stops (for instance the IPhone battery dies), my ears literally ring with the silence, it feels like I've been hit in the head and they are painfully vibrating almost throbbing. It's so uncomfortable that I have to jump up and get the white noise back on.
Does anyone else suffer from this? What in the world is it? I so want to be back to normal with my head and ear issues but I've been to the best specialists in my town the past 2 years and nobody can figure out what is going on.
PS: I've had 3 diagnoses: BPPV, Meniere's and Migrane Vertigo. I have no hearing loss so the 1st 2 make no sense.
