Do you drink alcohol and/or caffeinated beverages and do these affect your mood about tinnitus.

In the poll, choose 1 on the first four answers and 1 one of the last four answers.

One cup of coffee every morning. Without it, I am a frail shell of a human being, clawing my way through existence. :)

No, it doesn't affect the tinnitus at all, one way or the other.

Thank God!

Because without caffeine, and WITH tinnitus, I would be a wisp of a feather of a fragment of a sliver of a frail shell of a human being, clawing my way through existence, and, well, yeah ... :)

One cuppa Joe and I'm good to go! Organic and Fair Trade. No pesticides, coffee growing families able to afford to send their kids to school.

Good idea!

Hey, is it possible you could tell everyone to choose 1 on the first four answers and 1 one of the last four answers. I probably didn't make that clear. Thanks for all your help!

I don't understand the question.

Caffeine is awesome and terrible. I might get a slight temporary bump in T from it but I don't obsess about it.

I drink both in moderation and does not change the perminant sound of my tinnitus.
A glass of something nice can help relax me.
drinking coke gives me headaches and im alergic to orange drinks ,apple and lemon and lime .....lots of love glynis

What about Schweed?
Don't drink but I do puff. It's tricky. Doesn't spike or hush T, but if you are concentrating on something else like a book or TV etc it helps put T right out of the forefront. Could also have dire opposite effect in some folks who haven't habituated at all..

High THC strains definitely spike my ringing; I don't really enjoy them anymore. High CBD strains were always my preference anyway, and don't really seem to affect my T unless I consume them with enough frequency that my sleep quality is adversely affected (marijuana decreases REM sleep / sleep efficiency... though the rebound effect of this, once the insomnia passes, is usually a few nights of absolutely incredible dreams).

I'm in a stupid geographical situation where cannabis is a fairly serious crime where I live, but completely legal to possess and use if I walk twenty minutes up the road... so I indulge a fair amount at the residences of select friends and colleagues.

Haven't noticed correlation between caffeine and tinnitus. Alcohol, on several occasions however has made my tinnitus extremely loud after consuming and also the next day

Beer makes me comfortably numb and then I don't care about T. -- Wine though, makes my T go through the roof and my wine hangover is the absolute worst with T. -- Beer good. Wine bad.

Also, coffee in moderation is okay. -- My afternoon Java doesn't really help my T or mood and I should really cut that serving out.

Cheers and good luck!
