I am curious as to who here has had intratympanic injections before and what it was like for you.

If you don't mind, will you please post your experiences with this procedure and the number of times you have had them?

Thanks.

I had 3 injections 7 days apart. They honestly did nothing. I went to about 4 or 5 doctors in a 30 day period begging to get them. I did get my first one until 35 days after my tinnitus started which is pretty much out of the treatment window for them to even be effective.

It was awhile back, so not sure of the exact number, but IIRC I think I had about 5 shots, starting from onset, over the next month or so. This was in response to Sudden Single Sided Deafness (overnight one sided deafness). My hearing did improve some, but not clear whether that was from the shot, oral steroids, or Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It did not impact the tinnitus I don't think.

If you are concerned about the procedure itself, it feels a little weird/uncomfortable, but not really a big deal.

Bump this and answer. I'm considering getting this less than two months of onset and any info would be helpful.
