There's lots of quackery out there for those who suffer from hearing loss and tinnitus, haha just get a load of this loony in the video I posted. It would be fun if we could start a thread about all the "alternative facts" that are supposed to cure us and exploit people like this that want to pick the pockets of the desperate.

Homeopathic, of course. I wish the FDA would regulate homeopathic medications. It's annoying that they can make any claim they like, they do not even need to provide accurate ingredient lists.

Exactly! I see these in stores, and it's sold in the medicine aisle. Why would they sell these? I understand that a fool is separated from his money, but by allowing these commercial success we're only encouraging more of these.

And imagine if there was a tinnitus cure medicine that the FDA was trying. It would take forever to get greenlit. Why does that get blocked but scams get through so easy? That's what happens if you have a "only taken off if harmful" health model.

I think this is a HUGE part of the problem. I wish any homeopathic medicine that claimed to work would donate a portion of their profits towards actual tinnitus research.

Yeah but they won't. All it goes to is lining the pockets of the scammers. If they actually cared they wouldn't be selling scams in the first place

There's little more I hate than quackery and bad medicine. I'm a very "pro-freedom" person, but I think anything involving medicine needs to be regulated to high hell. It's way too important of a service to let just anyone make their stupid snake oil, or worse, something that ends up being harmful.

I'm going to try the garlic suggestion and will let you know. If it works my guess is that is because it contains sulfer. Maybe T is mercury from fillings is circulating?
