I was getting fitted for a suit yesterday when the tailor leaned close towards me while whistling, for 2-3s it was almost like he was whistling in my ear, which was enough to trigger my hyperacusis (causing fullness, muffled hearing etc). My question is, if the sound of him whistling was 60 db sound at a normal range, could it be that it was like 100 DB to me because it was right next to my ear? or is it still 60 db.
I'm just worried about my hearing being damaged.
Thanks.
