Hello
Before I write more, I want to mention that English is not my native language, so please excuse any mistakes I might make.
I did a quick search through previous threads and found very few posts about sexual life, which surprises me!
Since my current tinnitus began last February, I have had almost no sexual activity. My tinnitus is not particularly loud compared to what others describe here, but its nature, high pitched and resembling electric waves, makes it very hard to mask. Playing music around me sometimes makes it even more noticeable.
As I am single, it is relatively easy to avoid sexual activity, but it would be quite painful, to say the least, to imagine having no sexual life in the foreseeable future (I am 39 years old).
I am curious to know how others manage to get in the mood despite tinnitus, and if you do, how do you avoid being distracted or stressed by it during intimate moments?
It would mean a lot to me to learn from your experiences.
Thanks so much!
