I'm pretty sure I got tinnitus from spending the past 5 years listening to extreme metal music at loud volumes everyday with earbuds. I'm surprised my tinnitus is not louder than it is right now. Haha. So since I got my tinnitus a month ago I haven't listened to my iPod. It's a damn shame, I was just collecting the Morbid Angel albums. Needed 3 more albums to complete my collection. Lol. :)

Hi Carloz
I'm not using headphones anymore fir music, only for online discussions with my friend, and only in left ear ( my good ear).
Now i listen to music mainly in my car, using 9db custom made earplus, which reduce the loud sounds od the car but do not filter music too much.
How is your hearing? If T is not so loud it's good, you look to manage quite well

My hearing is fine. My T is kind of loud. It fluctuates throughout the day. Sometimes I hear it no matter what, sometimes everyday sounds mask it.

Try give your ears a break from loud music as they are letting you know they really arnt happy.
Return back to music at a lower level with out surround sound etc just quiet and try avoid head phones also.. lots of love glynis

I only listen to music from my computer halfway volume. Haven't used to earphones nor headphones since I've gotten tinnitus.
