Has anyone tried sound masking - hearing aids or other?

My left ear won't let me sleep and I'm in really bad shape. I need a way to mask the noise at night - it's not bad during the day.

I would buy a sound masking hearing aid if it helped me.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks!

Update: I have a fan going all night - but it doesn't cover the noise

Hi Avabelle. I use my I pod with just the one speaker in my left tinnitus ear. Then I listen to my music until I fall asleep. That's how I get to sleep, every body has different ways of masking out there tinnitus, but this works for me. If you try this don't have the volume up to loud. Hope this help you.
