Hi all,
I developed mild tinnitus along with headaches in September, but things progressively worsened. I eventually realized that my headaches were not actually headaches. They were hyperacusis.
Since then, my tinnitus has moved to the other ear, and I have developed several new tones that constantly fluctuate in intensity. I also seem to have some MEM symptoms.
I did everything wrong. I listened to loud headphones, blasted music in the car, took ototoxic medications, and more.
For the past month, I have been avoiding all digital audio and trying to stay in quiet. The headaches have improved significantly, but the tinnitus has worsened. Now, I frequently hear a random chirp in my left ear.
I have a young special needs son, and I am absolutely terrified that things will only get worse from here.
