Cold
Hi all,

I think I'm coming down with a cold, I can feel my ears are different. They're full, my nose is really blocked up and I really don't want my tinnitus to get worse since a cold caused my tinnitus originally.

So since normal Sudafed does nothing I thought of trying the Max Strength and wanted to check here first if the ingredients are fine?

Main ingredients are: 500mg paracetamol, 25mg of caffeine, 6.1mg of phenylephrine

Other ingredients: maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, sodium laurilsulfate, talc, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, quinoline yellow, patent blue , erythrosine, indigo carmine.

I have only ever tried the normal sudafed which is for colds, this one says it's for sinuses which obviously is more suited since it's my sinuses that are clogged.

Is it safe to take?

I have taken sudafed max strength and not only does it not affect my tinnitus but it does nothing to my sinuses either :p. However, I have really bad chronic rhinitis with post nasal drip and nothing touches it, including steroids.

I wouldn't worry about taking Sudafed.

Thanks Glynis, steam does help a little but I only do it twice a day. Do you think I should do it more than twice a day?

Have you tied doing a nasal rinse? Neilmed do a good squeezy bottle one that gets loads of gunk out of your sinuses. You could also try using a neti pot.
