Talking While Having Mouth and Nose Covered Worsened My Tinnitus?

I was talking while having my mouth and nose covered and I think this has worsened my tinnitus how is this possible?

It should not cause a problem more breathing problem.
I talk with a scarf over my nose and mouth keep cold air off my lungs in cold weather and my tinnitus is the same.. Lots of love glynis
