Hello all. I'm new to the Talk, and am wondering if others have my pattern of timed episodes of
tinnitus. Last year when they began, they were two minutes apart, 20-30 seconds of a spike that at its most intense caused visual distortion, as though space is vibrating and sometimes jumping. They went away for six months but returned this summer. I'm now in my 5th straight week of this pattern with just two days of relief. The hardest thing is close work, either editing or writing, and the computer screen is especially bad.
I've had a myriad of tests, the latest an ENG, short for videonystagmogram, which showed I definitely have low-function in my right ear balance.
I'm scheduled to see a vesticular PT next month, which gives me a little hope for more information.
But I'd really like to find who has timed episodes. None of my medical people have familiarity with it.
Thanks for listening...
