My ear canal was swollen due to my seborrheic dermatitis, so I applied hydrocortisone cream inside the canal. It ended up staying in there for a few days, and afterward, I developed tinnitus in that ear.
The cream was probably in my ear for about three days before I rinsed it out. When I flushed my ear, a big chunk of dry cream came out.
