When I was a child, I noticed a toy, when operated closed to my ear caused a ringing sound, that lasted a short while, then went.
In my 20s, I would go to conerts, and again noticed ringing in my ears the next day.
ok. Tinnitus. But it was never an issue, and always seems to go away.
But what I get now is different. Started a few months ago. Firstly it's not located at the ears. The frequency is high, and will change pitch, for no reason, and then change back again.
I thought it might be noise pollution. So I've started to wear earplugs more often, and actually it seems to helps with managing the problem, especially when I ride the motorbike which has a roar near the ears from air flow, but doesn't stop it.
But I'm not convinced this is tinnitus.
