      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Concussion
I got a concussion 6/19 and it started my tinnitus a week later. It faded after about 2 months, to a very manageable level.

I just got another concussion and 2 days later, it returned. I wasn’t thinking or anxious about it returning and wasn’t particularly stressed out, but it’s come back as strong as the first day I had it ever.

Does this highly increase the likelihood that it remains at this loud level?

Hello @Roz17. Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear about the concussion.

As you probably know, the effects of concussions can build on each other. That’s why there’s such a big to-do about head injuries in sports. That said, I am unaware of any data suggesting that tinnitus after a second head injury has any worse prognosis than after the first. So I suspect that in time things will settle back down for you.

      All the best with it.
