Tinnitus Cured — Medical Mysteries: That Noise Was Not Tinnitus

Hello @shand1001

A unique cause in this case, a nearly closed artery. I wonder if the condition is true Tinnitus, since it was not associated with hearing loss or ear nerves, whatever. Anyway my ENT used a stethoscope to listen right below and in back of the ears, nothing was detected, damn. I'll ask my regular doctor to check again.

Thanks for the story. And if anyone gets cured, Fantastic! One less person without T. Good Luck to your husband, maybe he will get cured.

I was wondering if anyone knows where you should listen to see if someone else can hear it? I wan't to get one of my family members to try listening to mine tonight before I go to the ent tomorrow. I have a stethoscope, would that work?

@Hariz Nonis thanks- I ended up waiting for the ent. He listened to both sides and couldn't hear it. I also couldn't hear it at that point so I wonder if that would stop him from hearing it also? I'm not sure what happened but last night the sound suddenly stopped and then kept starting up and stopping for a few hours- when I woke up it is gone but if I bend to look in my make up mirror I can still hear it, very odd.
