Artillery
First of all, I've had tinnitus since my time in the army, starting in 1981. I was in artillery, so the noise exposure was intense. In 2003, I had a spike that led to a breakdown, leaving me chronically fatigued. I slept through most of 2003 because of tinnitus.

In February 2024, I developed pulsating tinnitus that was unbearable. They gave me a CAT scan, which was 30 minutes of intense BOOM BOOM BOOM in my head. The next day, when I woke up, it was the first time in 30 years that I didn't hear any ringing in my ears—there was complete silence!

I prayed to God, thanking Him for this incredible silence. But almost as soon as I felt grateful for the quiet, the ringing started again. AGGGH! How is it possible that I was ringing-free for five minutes, only for it to return?
