      Tinnitus Since:
      Since early memories
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS)
I have had tinnitus for a long time. It's on both sides and usually always the same. Recently I have had a lot of Eustachian tube issues as I am diagnosed with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) and I've also been taking Pregabalin (Lyrica) at about 150 mg/day divided in 2 doses. I've been taking it for about 3 weeks now, and today I woke up with a very clogged and crackling ear and a weird, deep ringing sound.

Is this related to my ETD or more likely the Pregabalin?

I've come across a few stories on Tinnitus Talk where people said that Pregabalin caused their tinnitus but my tinnitus has actually been quieter since I've been taking it so I can't really tell.

It's not listed as a side effect on the package insert, but my research suggests otherwise.

Is discontinuation of Pregabalin the better choice? I really don't know what to do, it's the only thing helping my GAD/PD. Antidepressants are not effective, and I'm only able to take benzos short term.

Advice is hugely appreciated, I don't know what to do.
