Announcement Tinnitus Neuromodulator Sound Generator — myNoise.net Collaboration

Is this suitable for white noise?
You could stack it with a white noise generator. Although I recommend using the grey noise generator as white noise is perceived by our hearing as uneven - due to the way we hear sound we are more sensitive to mid range frequencies, the normal hearing curve is a bit of a squiggly line whereas white noise is a completely flat line across the frequency spectrum.

@hoper When you click on the generator, using animate makes for an awesome soundscape. Or there are also presets there which sound pretty cool.

Stēphane took one of my neuromodulation sequences and mangled it beyond recognition to create this, it's like making a sculpture out of sound.

Wauw! This is great, actually drowns today's tinnitus - heaven. I've downloaded the app to my iPhone, but can't seem to find the Neuromodulator yet. Will it be on there too?

Yep! It will become available in the iOS myNoise app within a week or two, free of charge!

However, anyone who has bought the package "All You Can Hear" (available as an in-app purchase) for $9.99, are able to listen to it on their iOS devices right now!

It's a great idea to show your support to Stéphane by buying the package.

Pretty darn cool initiative!

So people were forking out 1000's of € for this?
Well not quite... For the purposes of my sequence I wanted to make it different to the treatment - also nice not to get sued for a direct copy :D

The actual treatment works by identifying your tinnitus frequency and then playing 4 tones, 2 either side of the tinnitus frequency. I found it pretty limiting and wanted to make something that worked all up and down the frequencies for people with multiple tones.

But my original sequence (the third slider, orange) was taken by Stephane and made into something quite different, he's a seriously talented sound guy.

This is fantastic, I'm so sick of white noise and ACRN can be nightmarish at times. This is literally soothing to my ears right now. Thank you!
Hells yes! I am tired of hearing the same old crickets, whooshing sound effects. Like geez give us a break! Oh wait, they did lol :)

This just totally masks my tinnitus. I'm crying inside. Gosh I can study and read with it. Thank you thank you thank you :woot::rockingbanana:

Excellent app/website. Far gone are the days 2 years back when I had to do all my sounds and beeps by myself with Audacity :)

Btw, @Steve , is "High Treble"-slider 16kHz?
I don't think it's that high.

The website by the way isn't anything to do with me - it's just this particular generator on the site. MyNoise is all coded and managed by Stēphane Pigeon.

I feel like I'm slipping into a very pleasant twilight zone. :woot:

Can someone post an interpretation of the effects of each of the sliders, please? (Pulse, dream, sinescape and warble.) I'd like to fine-tune the sound generator further, but don't have a clue what they mean, except for Steve's neuromodulator tones that I'm familiar with.

@Steve - Is this suitable for audio notch with any particular settings?

In theory yes it can work for notched music therapy. Depends on where you are putting the notch though. I haven't analysed the sounds from the generator but they should be up to around 10kHz - who knows though after Stëphane performed his wizardry :)

The sliders are notional names, based on the way they sound. All based on the original sequence but tweaked in a different way, stretched and generally pulverised into something sonically different.

I agree with your thoughts, very spacey and twilight zone-esque

I am in San Diego, CA and downloaded the app but can't find the app called All I Can Hear. Would be very happy to pay for it.
The All You Can Hear is not a separate app.

It's just the name of the in-app purchase within the myNoise app.

I don't have an iOS device myself so I cannot check, but it should be available to buy somewhere in the myNoise app once you open it.

Let us know if you figured it out.
