- Cause of Tinnitus
- Hearing loss, loud noise
Hey everyone,
I am 16 years old and I think I have always had at least a little ringing in my ears whenever I was in a quiet room. I thought it was normal for everyone until recently when the buzzing has gotten very loud whenever it is quiet. I have a sensorineural hearing loss in both ears. I inherited that from my dad. However, he does not have bad tinnitus; only an occasional quiet ringing. I speculate the cause of the tinnitus is a combination of my hearing loss, me being in a rock band, and possibly surgery I had on my lungs. (It seemed to get noticeably worse after that). I guess I just need to hear some success stories or anyone in a similar situation.
I need to know it will not go on forever. I'm going to try acupuncture and ginkgo biloba, maybe those will work. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you!
