Hey guys, for some reason my tinnitus "spiked" today.

I don't know the reason, but also I woke up with neck pain.

I think I might have slept in a wrong posture.

Do you think there is a relation?

Yes neck problems can cause and spike tinnitus...hope it settles down soon for you....lots of love glynis

Struggling but fighting back hard.
Looking forward to a good sleep with my knock me out meds off the doctor...lots of love glynis
Thanks for asking x

I am going to try wearing a soft neck collar to bed and also use my TMJ splint. I woke up early this morning at about 4:30 am and seemed to have very little noise (I was wearing my splint). I went back to sleep with my splint in and now have loud hissing. It could be just a brain reset or possibly neck muscle related.

Happens to me every morning too, and I live with pretty bad neck tension 24/7. My ears feel very off in the morning as if someone punched a whole through them! And the ringing is horrific at night and in the morning.

The refs. that Jack Thompson provided should help you out.
If you have neck tension in the morning the first line of defense is to apply heat to the area (heating pad, warm cloth). Maybe you could find a way to sleep like this. Has this been an ongoing problem?

Sorry to hear that. I hope you can find some relief. Mine is very bad so I am tormented. I have HF hearing loss so maybe that is the sole reason for my noise. I am looking at everything for relief including possible neck problems.
