Cause of Tinnitus
viral infection
I contracted a viral flu in Europe two years ago, it moved into my right ear/head causing headaches and earache. The after effect is a severe 24/7 tinnitus in my left ear. The doctors say there is damage to my cochlea.

I went to Ireland for the Lenire to no avail. I have also tried a myriad of prescribed drugs to no avail.

I'm wondering if anyone has had this type of viral tinnitus and if there has been any success with other methods?

I'm using hearing aids but that really only helps with the hearing loss in that ear.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Did the viral flu cause too much permanent damage to your sinus? Chronic sinusitis is a known cause of bad tinnitus.
