   What could be the potential risks of paper-patching the eardrum to see if it will help with hyperacusis?
   
   I would like to try this procedure. Before doing so, I want to make sure I thought about all the risks there might be. Any help and information is greatly appreciated!

   monitor noise trauma at gig

   There are no risks. It is just a piece of paper that dissolves over time.
