My ears won't stop ringing...I believe I have tinnitus...what is your advice to do immediately to help this? Thank you very much in advance!

Hello ... I have found some relief and hope to get more by using natural remedies. Apple cider vinegar with honey and water, drink a cup 3 times a day. Can´t hurt and it will help. Also fresh squeezed garlicmixed with castor or sesame seed oil, heat and strain and 3 drops at bedtime. Basil leaves crushed for juice mix with same oregano leaves, heat and 3 drops in ear 3 times a day. Also use vapor in ear. Put some oregano, dry, a garlic clove and some basil ... make a tea and put in cup. Put ear over cup, let vapor in for 5 min or as much as you can handle .. not too hot and then cover ear with cotton ball. This helps very much.. try it, can´t hurt right .... faith is essential

@gjhello This TT thread gives you step by step instructions on what to do. Yes, seeing a doctor/ENT to make sure there is no underlying cause of the T is a first step. Check this thread out:

There are different approaches to help a T sufferer, one being to try to reduce the ringing loudness by various means, such as using supplements, nerve calming herbs or drugs, and also masking sounds or masking devices.

Members here often recommend some good supplements, such as NAC, Magnesium, Zinc, B12, D3, etc., and reduce intake of salt, sugar, MSG, caffeine, alcohol etc. You may also want to help yourself to get more sleep. Sleep deprivation is one sure way to fire up T. Get some bed time masking such as a sound machine or a sound pillow etc., so you can fall asleep better. Instead of sleep meds from the doctor, you can try natural alternatives such as Camomile tea, Hops, Valerian tablets, Melatonin etc. Check out this site on using natural herbs for sleep problem:

The other is to try to moderate your reaction by various strategies such as CBT, TRT, mindfulness, exercises, hobbies, etc., so you can hopefully reduce the perceived loudness or intrusiveness of T ringing. But before that, I think a good strategy is to read up as many success stories as possible because these can give you hope and insights on how to get better. A few years back I was in your shoes, overwhelmed and not knowing what to do. But today I live a normal and absolutely enjoyable life. I wrote my success story like other members and in it I list many helpful points or strategies to help me get better. I will list below my own success story as well as the most read story on TT by IWLM. All the best to you and God bless.
