What's Your Favourite Food?

Potato chips. In general I eat a very healthy vegetarian (mostly vegan) diet. I choose organic whenever possible and cook simple meals. But potato chips have always been my weakness.

Roasted cashews

Delicious and doesn't spike the T. Only downside is that they are crazy expensive compared to other snacks.

Your post describes me perfectly, SugarMagnolia. We must be long lost twins or something, lol! I am vegetarian/vegan and potato chips are by far my favorite salty snack. I cannot have them in the house, there is no taking a handful a day.....the whole bag will be gone in a day.

Hi, Holly.

I had to respond to your question about pistachio nuts, I love those things! Only trouble with nuts is that they aggravate my TMJD to no end. I love fresh carrot and celery sticks with hummus as a dip. There again, hard on my jaw. :dunno:

Over this past Mother's Day weekend, there were trays upon trays of veggies and dips. I couldn't resist. I am now dealing with jaw pain and subsequently eating soft foods for the rest of the week. This is not all bad, though. I have had two delicious smoothies today, this is a plus.

It must be quite the vision....me standing over the blender with my big ole ear protectors on. I am having a good hair day at least.(y)

I only go grocery shopping once a week, so I have to ration my chips.

It isn't easy.

I often cook with cashews and other nuts. They're an easy way to add protein to vegan meals.

Have you ever tried a nut butter? In the store I go to they have cashew butter and almond butter as well as peanut butter. I haven't seen pistachio butter, but you could probably make your own if you have a food processor.

My favorite is cashew butter. I like to put it on apples.

Yes, I love nut butters! My favorite is all natural peanut butter, I eat it everyday. Breakfast this morning was raisin toast with peanut butter. I also like peanut butter and banana sandwiches and peanut butter and red onion sandwiches.

I am getting hungry. :)

My favorite food is homemade asian food: noodles or rice with chicken, various vegatables, coconut milk and curry paste sprinkled with roasted cashew nuts on top...YUM!! I also love a nice steak with béarnaise sauce or lasagna with lots of cheese on top :p

My favorite snack is chocolate....Almost ALL KINDS....I am a chocoholic :D

In reality it would be easier just listing the things I don't like....I generally LOVE FOOD.....all kinds!

Oh so weird me too regarding potato chips!! I will open a bag (which is not good noise wise) take a few go sit down. Then get back up and get a few more. But I am not vegetarian completely.

I also love carrot sticks with fresh ranch dressing. French fries are better though.

For the most part we eat fish and veges and home made soups.

With the weather warming up, I'm enjoying salads. My new favorite concoction is baby spinach, shaved carrots, pumpkin seeds, grape tomatoes, and avocado with sesame vinaigrette.
