Hi all. I just returned from the cinema. I saw "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald", but unfortunately I was without earplugs.

Now I have no spikes or whatsover, my tinnitus is still the same, but still I am worried just because I was not wearing any earplugs.

The movie was not so loud, only when there were action segments.

I'd like to know if I am unnecessarily worrying or not :(

Thanks.

When my T was very mild and my H was very mild, I saw Spiderman Homecoming in the movie theaters and suffered no spikes.

Loud cinema noise affects different tinnitus sufferers to different degrees. Personally I am not able to go to the cinema even with earplugs because the level of noise has such a negative impact on my tinnitus - and having habituated primarily by being extremely careful about noise exposure, I don't want to risk that. Other sufferers will maybe have far less severe reactions - you can only go by your own experience and if you haven't experienced any spikes so far you should be OK.

No disrespect, but some of us here ARE suffering spikes so it's a tad insensitive to post worrying about a spike that hasn't happened?

Are you worrying uncessarily? Of course you f*%king well are. Worry when you HAVE got a spike.
