I'm still semi-interested. I agree information is too sketchy, but on the other hand Dr. O Neill does seem genuine. I think I'll hold off personally and see what the reviews are like once they start to trickle in. I actually rang them the other day just out of curiosity and they are still on for December release.

Isn't this just another audio device like Neuromonics?
Who needs that?
Save your money and use the generalfuzz acrn site.
Or ask Steve for an audio file.

Basically another device Audiologists can make money on. Temporary relief for probably the mild sufferer, a waste of money for the rest of us.

Its devices like these that prevent funding for a "real cure" just road blocks that make quick money for the TRT market..

Well hello folks.

I was on Mutebutton's mailing list and they just sent out a communication saying the devices will be available on Dec. 15th, 2014. (letter attached below.)

Just thought I'd pass the info along to you all.

@Steve

Hi Steve,

Your Antinitus proposal may have a better chance with Mutebutton (i.e. Free Trial).

May be worth a shot: info@neuromoddevices.com.

Obviously they're in Dublin. If not convenient for yourself one of the Irish Lads could maybe give it a go.

What do you think? (Product Available on Dec 15th)

R

2 grand though?

Proposal would be free trial. If you look at the small print on their site they state - They are not responsible for safety and do not claim there is any efficacy.... Don't you just love it when after 10 years of R&D they have such bold claims about their product :)

This may be a different proposition entirely given the cost of the device.

I'll have to refresh my memory on the trials they've done to date and see what the claims are - even though as you say the disclaimer is kind of weak.

I am getting a laser for each ear , a patch on my forehead,a device to stimulate my tongue, trobalt pills, ginko biloba, nac and the Tinnitus Miracle book in my pocket, should be covered.

Lets all cash in our life savings and go to Vegas for a month. As RaZaH is hinting at the range of remedies for this condition are getting ridiculous in terms of variability of approach. May be best to have one last hurrah and then cash in the chips.. So many treatments and approaches and yet not one has ever been shown to decrease T by 1%.

To be brutally honest the boys in Antinitus at least came up with some sort of explanation as to how their gravity patch was going to work - Even if they did plagiarise it from Buck Rogers Ep 71.

The Mutebutton crowd haven't even tried to explain how their device works. All their Website says is would you like to buy it. If so you can make an appointment. Cheers. It's beyond taking the T market for granted. It's insulting.

The unnerving part is that they expect you to pay for the device first, then you attend a session with an audiologist to see if the device is a suitable treatment for your tinnitus.

As I own a house in Donegal as well as in the UK so I can get this treatment soon. I have just asked them the costing. I would guess it is going to be in the same league as Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation 6k plus or Soundcure about 2k that I have tried and was useless.

I have just asked them the costing.
Last week, I got the following pricing information regarding MuteButton:

"It will retail at €2500 which includes €2200 for the device and €300 for the consultation with the audiologist who configures the device to each patients hearing profile. As our sales increase and the costs of manufacture decrease however we do hope to bring that price down slightly over the coming years."

Hi Markku
What do you think of its efficacy?
Do you think it's going to lower the intensity of tinnitus?
Have you any clinical results?

Sorry for my poor English.

They claim this:

However, some months back they said that they have submitted the results to a medical journal for peer review.

I'd wait until I see what journal that is and what the published article says.

I'd also wait for some user experiences.

Some more waiting is needed...

I think it's the same technology as acoustic neuromodulation.
I hope it will not be as antinitus.
praying that helps a lot of people

So that places it roughly in the middle of the price for Neuromodulation & Soundcure. Interesting.

I emailed the MuteButton company about the clinical trial results. They answered me:

Dear Fergusson

The paper is in review with a peer-reviewed journal so we cannot distribute it at this time. We will notify you as soon as it has been published.
