    Fingers crossed mate. I think that the acoustic output should be of sound frequency that is near the frequency of your Tinnitus sounds. But, not the exact same frequency.

    never should have gone cold turkey off coffee. that no coffee thing is bullshit. A small cup of coffee in the afternoon is calming for me.

    I think they advice that because of the effect coffee has on the brain,i have noticed the same thing as you though when absence of coffee actually spikes my T same way a medicine does.I think it's a common mistake people tend to make when they see a med and coffee be totally different,the brain however might interpret the absence as just as significant regardless of it's function.
    Started taking NAC 1200 mg a day, I'll report back slept last night. still ringing sometime crickets. running everyday praying for you all.
    spoke to a second ENT my night spike is the adrenaline produced by the steroid and my natural production cycle , right around 9pm.
    If I can pray for peace for any of you let me know.

    staying postive. eating a load of fruit, B12, B6, went to work, presented in a meeting, finished a video, had ringing all day, even slept
    Found that layering sounds and a candle help me relax and even sleep, (Rain, Rain App). ordering a sleep headband headset to wear
    On steroid, preparing to deal long term & but have serious sleeping related side effects

    I was on a tapered 8 day course of Prednisone initially and had some moments of complete silence. Thought I was cured. However, after the treatment my T came back and stayed. Side effects were sleeplessness and some shaking in my hands. It's pretty nasty stuff long term.

    Thanks @stacey , I appreciate the encouragement and advice.
    2.5 weeks having T, (acoustic trauma , TMJ) I've had good days just accepting "my sounds" and using the advice on this site.
