  • Thanks for posting your experiences. I have subclinical hypothyroidism with antibodies - probable hashimotos. Now wondering how much of this (alongside the onset of menopause) is contributing to my increase in t. Have been advised to add in selenium and ldn to drive down autoimmunity/rt3, to continue supplementing with iron to drive up ferritin.
    Hi Blix

Have you tried both high and ldn?

I was not looking forward to going on Metformin for Type II diabetes, and now it looks as if I will not have to. I am still losing weight and expect to be around 150 by early next year. I was told to discontinue synthyroid, as my thyroid levels are now normal.

I'm now vegan, doing cardio daily and strength training 3 x per week. I am feeling better than I have felt in years, except I still have loud tinnitus and hyperacusis. I am counting the days for Dr Shore's device to become available.

Now I am happy to say that I am out of the diabetic range, with my A1c level dropped from a high of 7.1 down to its current 5.4. Aside from the odd bad day (usually caused by a T-spike), I feel like my depression is still in remission. Still vegan, still working out, still taking LDN nightly. Weight has dropped from 227 to 185 and still dropping.
Trying to hang on for as long as I can. Tinnitus and hyperacusis have worsened steadily since 2006. I had a good few months thanks to LDN.
    Hey how's the Naltrexone going?

I'm finally adjusting up to a full 50 mg pill tomorrow. No change in my tinnitus and hyperacusis, yet. But I have hope that it will work. It took eight weeks for some of the subjects to improve. I'm not giving up. My goal is to be able to compose music again by my birthday (which is in June).

I hope it works. For you and everyone who tries it. I have been on it thirteen days (but only at 50 mg for 2 or 3 days) and there has been no change to my tinnitus, yet. But then, I've had tinnitus for a long time. Since the 90s. That's a long time to let tinnitus wrap itself around my brain, and it may take a longer time to undo it.
