@Lurius For maximum empathy from the audience, I'd start the movie with a noisy event that induces acoustic shock. The trouble with that is the audience members might actually get tinnitus and hyperacusis in real life, and then they'd want to file a lawsuit. : )

Seriously, though, if I were a millionaire, I'd fund a movie where the leading character has tinnitus and hyperacusis. Awareness is necessary.
I think there should be more media about tinnitus. I mean art that reveals the reality of it to the masses. There should be more awareness.

    2. The problem is the medical field quickly blames Ear; T/H symptoms to mental illness as -primary- condition. *scolding finger*... it's your "emotional response", to further confuse everyone else, rerouting us and much of the funding needed for T/H research and education, to instead the mental health industry! This needs to stop.

The problem is ATA dont care and that numskull who created TRT set us back saying we dont need a cure and that trt is enough. we needed trail blazers and shame on the Medical field / GOVERNMENT.

do you realize how many FAMOUS people have tinnitus, i almost puked when i seen A listers in industry who suffer from this.
A car idling outside of my window just generated crazy disruptive low frequency noise inside my apartment. I felt it everywhere. Disturbing.
Trying to live one day at a time and hope I will feel better in the future. Also avoiding noise like crazy.
