    Should have said earlier, thanks that's really good of you. I even just gave a medal :) I have M Audio monitor speakers but I always feel they are a bit heavy on bass so not sure what to think of that. They might be best ones I have. Interested to hear any thoughts from audio inclined people...

    Traffic sounds makes low tone louder, other sounds make other tones louder. I've been spending too much time in silence as a result but nobody has thus far been able to help me break out of the cycle
