  • My mom and dad have had tinnitus 20 years. They have been my greatest support. They understand and they know how scary it feels. Love them

@Tezcatlipoca T lowered for them to a level that they can say "it doesn't bother me." They have to remain careful, as noise exposure (long car drives) can still spike it, but within a day it still always comes down and because of the years of experience, they do not worry about temporary spikes. It always comes down eventually. I agree, we will overcome!

This is a beautiful post. Your parents sound amazing! Bless them both. :) I also totally agree with their advice - they clearly know tinnitus very well. You're in good hands @Anniz. I hope yours settles down too. I'm sure it will. I had super loud T to begin with, and mine no longer bothers me. You'll get there. <3

@Steph1710 Thank you for the encouraging words! I am grateful for them indeed, of course hoping everyday that we all have freedom from this. Now when I visit them, I don't have to be in the room worrying if someone will do a loud noise.. We all just want to enjoy that quiet volume TV. :) Bless your heart Steph. <3
Multiple tones, more in the left ear. Some tones are "jumpy" they keep dissapearing appearing multiple times in a second. Most are constant

Noticed some people call that "morse code". Good word choice there. At least it's not unknown!

You've just described my tinnitus perfectly. Don't worry, even I've managed to 90% habituate to all these random beeps, tones, and pitches. And I'm the most noise sensitive person around! :)

@Steph1710 The first days I was extremely sensitive to sound as well.. still am but the sensitivity seems to be fading. Sound is tolerable level currently. Sometimes louder. I also have a thing called Semi-Patulous Eustachian Tube, where I can hear my own voice ridiculously loud. This is occasional though like after excersise.
