    Somehow didn't see this until now my bad! I don't have good earmuffs but I do have plugs + some thin ones that I plan on wearing. It definitely is pretty loud, ambient noise is at about 70-75db

    Sounds good. 70-75 db doesnt sound too bad at all. I would have thought it was more noisy in a kitchen.

    There are definitely spikes of noise but yeah it stays around there

    Ears have taken a beating today with noise, no spike or anything yet but my ears are definitely full and swollen

    I also think H is worse then T, the swollen feeling make makes living with this unbearable. But trying to be strong :/

    You HAVE to get in the practice of carrying earplugs with you every time you leave home. It's easy and becomes habit. I use mine all the time, I work in noisy situations

    Same here, they feel full a lot of time now, even with regular noises. I wanted to PM you, but can't find a way. Is it possible?

    Have you heard about Botox as a treatment? I'm going for consult tomorrow. I'll let you know. Anyone with this condition that hasn't jumped off of a bridge is strong. It's maddening for sure.

    I have! I've considered it actually but wasn't sure if it'd be good for the type of T I have. How did it go for you?

    Hi, thank you for your words. I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this is the right way to reply. Haha! No recent noise trauma, and I had wax removed a few weeks ago when this bubbling thumping thing started. No help. You are strong too! It's nice to meet you.

    Hyperacusis definitely feels worse after getting ear wax out you really can't win with this condition

    So sorry to hear that. I understand as I often feel the same way. We only have these short lives and it's miserable to suffer.

    Pretty bad. I'm 5 days on and my tones keep changing plus the hyperacusis seems to keep getting worse; I'm quite scared. Thank you so much for checking up on me, it really means a lot.
