Over the weekend, I came down with a sore throat and runny nose. Out of curiosity, I used an expired Covid rapid test and it came back positive with two solid red lines.

Thank you for asking. My ears have been pretty stable this past year. I still have twitching and tingling down the left side of my body but it's been pretty mild lately (it tends to wax and wane in intensity). I just got an MRI done today and will hopefully have a follow up appointment with the...

@ECP I know you asked back in June but I just got the MRI done an hour ago (there was a wait of around nine months). It was about 30 minutes long and very noisy but I had double ear protection on. Sounds do seem softer for the moment but so far my tinnitus is still the same as it was before.

I finally got to see a neurologist. He believes that my symptoms are psychosomatic but he'll refer me to an MRI of my brain and neck anyway.

I'm not certain about her compressed nerve diagnosis as I have no pain or tingling, just a strong jerking and twitching sensation that has lasted 24/7 for the last 3 weeks. She hasn't even sent me in for a scan of my neck or spine.

I do agree that I need to see a neurologist but I need to be referred to one by my PCP. Right now, it feels like my PCP is just guessing while throwing drugs at me.

My PCP thought I had strained a muscle and so prescribed baclofen, which didn't make a difference. Now she thinks I have a compressed nerve and so has prescribed gabapentin, which hasn't helped either.

The jerking is strong enough that it makes me feel off balance when walking or standing. It's destroying my ability to sleep. I'm also getting trembling in my head and vibration down my arm.
