If I walk 20-30ft I get 20x volume for about 10 minutes. If I go for a 10 minute walk I'll spend the next 2 hours trying to calm it down.

For me it has been mild, usually 1h walk in woods would only mildly spike me. Now it seems to be getting worse. This is fucking unbeliveable.

If I move my head, I get 20x volume for 10-20 seconds. If I stand up, I get 20x volume for about a minute.

My Tinnitus is not spiked or made worse by noise. You might think that makes me lucky, but I'm not. It's spiked by MY OWN BODY MOVEMENT.

My T is usually at it's quietest when I wake up and I always lie on the bad ear. As soon as I wake up and start doing anything it ramps up. I used to have about an hour of reduced volume in the morning, not anymore tho.

@BlueMoon86 - I have the same. If I press on the right side of my head. Move my neck. Stench my neck. Clenching my teeth just slightly. All of it send my T screaming. Do you have pain or are you impacted by food. I have major impact with foods. It’s the worst part.

I can't modulate my T by pressing or stretching or anything. I know that if I stand, move my head, exercise or even swallow something it's going to ramp up. I don't have any pain and I try to stay away from too much salt and sugar.

I don't really want to die. I just want it to stop. I'm thinking private cochlear implant. If that doesn't work, then suicide.

I would take out my ears. Both of them today.

My mum broke down in tears today and begged me not to do it. She locked the door and wouldn't let me go out. I want to die.

My whole head reverberates and hums with it. Every cell in my body is recoiling from it. My ear is dying.

I feel this. So sorry. This is insane. I would never have imagined this happening. Had no idea this existed.

This low frequency shit is another level. I can hear it over a vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, car. It's so loud and deep and low.

How do people with Meniere's/Otosclerosis get any help with their hearing loss?

I am trialling a hearing aid and it is UTTERLY FUCKING USELESS MY GOD. I'd rather be deaf than have amplified bad sound.

I haven't seen many people report any benefit as far as tinnitus. Sometimes the masking sounds is just more noise on top of the tinnitus or can worsen reactive tinnitus. And then, the amplified noise can be bad for hyperacusis.

My FIL has tremendous benefit with a hearing aid. He had T very bad and now can go 2 weeks without putting them in and during this time he has no T. He claims it was hard at first but the sound lowered to a manageable level then disappeared. The only reason why he wears them now is to prevent it from returning. My mom’s friend’s husband wore hearing aids for 6 months and his T is basically non existent.

Had a ENT appointment this morning. Slightly better than last time (still a moderate loss overall) so why tf my original T so loud?

That's how T rolls. Fuck you loud one day and louder the next, for no apparent reason.
