How Do You Fix Poor Posture?

Stand with your back against the wall. Flex your back shoulder blade muscles so they touch the wall. Hold for 3 seconds. Do this without using your trap or deltoid muscles. Do this 30x or more a day. Do chin tucks. Sit up straight. Don' sleep on your stomach. Bring your phone up to your...

    Went to ENT Yesterday...

@Dmitriy Your hearing looks good! I'm not sure how to read the last one. Your hearing tests look much more in depth than the one I received. I think the audiologist will run a more extensive test.

    Went to ENT Yesterday...

@Dmitriy Im sorry that your are still dealing with your T. Hopefully you will start seeing improvements soon! I would be interested in seeing the graph results. I see that your T was the result of gunshot exposure. If I may ask...what kind of gun were you shooting and were you wearing...

I got mine shooting skeet. I was wearing ear plugs. My right plug fell out as I proceeded to fire one shot. Put the plug back in and continued to shoot. I didnt notice any ringing until the next day. Now I wonder if my ear plugs were in all the way to begin with. My hearing is normal but...

Why Can Birds Restore Their Hearing Yet We Cannot?

Birds have inhabited Earth since the Cretaceous period. This was over 60 million years ago. They've had millions of years to evolve and adapt to new situations. Humans have been here for a fraction of that time (supposedly 200k years). On the bright side we are intelligent and do not have to...

Fluid in Ear — Inflammation Decreasing

Does anyone ever experience the sensation of fluid dripping out of your inner/middle ear? I'm assuming this is related to swelling/inflammation decreasing after my acoustic trauma from loud noise. Ever since I started taking anti-inflammatory steroids I've had this sensation every now and...

    My Heart Is Dancing Waltz

Maybe white glove syndrome? My bp is usually higher at the docs office because I'm nervous. When I take it at home it's fine. You should ask your doctor for an echocardiogram and stress test.

I'm glad that it's getting better. This is my 5th week now. It was really loud the 2nd week, but has gotten quieter since then. Mine changed from a ring to a hissing sound with crickets. It's getting easier for me to ignore. Has your hearing improved since it started?

Poll: Do You Know Anyone Whose Tinnitus Went Away?

Yes and no. My co-worker was shooting shotguns with inadequate hearing protection. He used ear buds that are intended for music. His ears rang for two weeks before it went away. He was 26. My chiropractor was in the army and would shoot with out hearing protection. It took 6 months before...

How to Deal with Tinnitus at Home?

I would suggest starting an exercise routine and/or picking up a new hobby. If your an animal person maybe getting a dog would help take your mind off the T. Animals have been shown to reduce stress levels. It would also give you a reason to go on walks.

Poll: What Is the Sound of Your Tinnitus?

    1. High pitched ringing. Kind of like a jet engine. 2. Hissing. A speaker that's turned on but with no music. 3. Buzzing. Sounds like a power generator on a power line. 4. Static electricity. 5. Crickets and/or cicadas. 6. Dentist drill. It's always changing and never consistent...
