Same process as at first assessment. They checked the levels at which my tinnitus can be matched and had me fill in a more detailed questionnaire. Then I was shown how to use it, and left on my own for 15 minutes to do it myself. I did my first session earlier, so it’s a mix of music and static...

No, at least two people on here have posted accounts of their assessment appointments and they were the same, what more do you want? Why would anyone else post the exact same thing, I’m sure the assessments are standard...

The first assessments started on the 18th June... there is a 4 week wait for the device. Anyone who had a first assessment is still awaiting the fitting... Could nobody work that out??

I had my assessment on the 18th June, they said it could be up to 4 weeks for fitting, but I received texts a few days ago for appointments for 1st review on 30th August and 2nd review on 8th October... so that may be why August is booked up because first rounds of reviews are in August...

Each time I was in a loud place, but having been free of tinnitus, you forget about the risk of getting it again.

I think it’s because once your tinnitus is gone you do not want to talk about it again for fear of your brain remembering it. I truly believe that’s it, so anyone who has moved on from it will not speak of it. I know that’s the way I was.
