I think the Guinness Book of World Records should have a record for the loudest tinnitus. I'm pretty sure I would be a contender. I know that as far as medical problems go, there are far worse things I could have, but that doesn't seem to make it tinnitus any more tolerable.

I can tell you what I would not do. I would not take my good hearing for granted. What I would do is protect it from loud noise very carefully.
