    High Frequency Hearing Recovering?

Great to hear(!) of your recovery. My upper frequencies seem to be coming back too. My acoustic trauma was in Oct 18. After that all music sounded distorted and dirty, as if though a broken speaker, and I couldn't hear cymbals (I am a drummer.) I'd say the distortion effect has 80% cleared, and...

The docs says ears don't regenerate (we know better!) Plus I suppose the brain is rewiring itself, reassigning hairs to higher frequencies.

Can Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Cause Pulsatile Tinnitus?

Hi Paul... stress level has been very high for months, but due to changing circumstances should come down soon. The footstep hiss is always there, but when I'm less stressed I don't really care about it. Currently the thing that's getting me down is the pulsating somatic T (not PT...

Can Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Cause Pulsatile Tinnitus?

@PaulFi Hi Paul, thanks, it's so rare to hear from somebody who has the footstep hiss! Is it improving? Mine isn't. Although one night after a lot of curry and alcohol it completely disappeared for 12 hours.

    Spicy Foods Lowering Tinnitus?

My somatic T *completely* disappeared the other night after eating a very hot curry, consuming a fair amount of beer and chatting to friends. It came back the next morning though. It had never disappeared like that before.

    Sleeping with the Head Elevated

When I lie down in bed, my tinnitus goes mad (this left-ear hiss goes tonal, the right-ear whoosh sounds like a tsunami). On a good night, it calms down but remains louder than when I'm standing. On bad nights I have to take Zolpidem. And always in the morning, the hiss is very loud. A lot of...
