@PDodge, congrats my friend. I'm really happy to see you have moved on so much.
It is incredible how fast the years pass, I feel like it was just a short time ago that I registered on Tinnitus Talk and read your and others' stories in search for some hope. Now it is also for me 5 years since...
I skipped the game. I think I would have been fine with foam earplugs, but in the end not worth the risk. Whatever, there will be other events :) Thanks for the advice :)
I just had two 9-hour flights and had no problems with deep inserted foam earplugs during ascent or descent. I wore them from the airport all the way to the hotel room. Just open your mouth, chew gum and see that your ears equalize. Noise-canceling headphones over them also eliminate the low hum...
Yes, they had the little handle and that one always stood out. When I insert foam earplugs, they are invisible from the front but the orange color is pretty obvious from the side. I’ll try now black foam earplugs and cut them a bit.
I never notice occlusion with foam earplugs, on the contrary...
I think I already bought Earasers once but they always stick out... :(
Foam earplugs have always been best for me but I need to cut them a bit and then I am afraid that I can't pull them out anymore :D
Are there people here who have to handle business meetings in restaurants? How do you handle dinners with clients? I always try to choose quieter restaurants (luckily nearly no restaurant here has any kind of music) but when there are lots of people, it can sometimes get loud. I found some black...
Thinking about Resident Evil 2, I will go back now and finally clean up my remaining hardcore runs with Leon and Claire. Love the game, so much fun. I have all the other achievements except the HC runs.
Hey guys, I’ll be visiting New York in April, first time in my life in the United States.
Anyone has some must sees, favourite restaurants, general advice for first time visitors?
I’ll stay for 5 days. Earplugs are already prepared ahaha :D
I still have my normal baseline tinnitus, this noise was just noticeable enough to write about it. But yeah, pretty happy that it faded so quick. Just give it more time, hopefully it will resolve or lessen in the coming months.
No no, this noise was gone in a few days or a week, if I remember correctly. I meant that for the first two years similar noises did come and go, after that it was mostly baseline tinnitus with little variation.
Yes, gone completely. Sometimes similar sounds creep back in but I don’t think I ever again had the same noise as back then. Most of these strange sounds did come and go in my first one or two years; the last two years have been mostly the same.
