Sudden Onset of Fluctuating Pulsatile Tinnitus — Yawning Can Stop It for a Few Seconds

My pulsatile tinnitus completely stopped a couple days after I posted this thread. But then today it came back intermittently for a brief few minutes and is now gone again. Wondering if mine is caused by Eustachian tubes since yawning affects it.

Sudden Onset of Fluctuating Pulsatile Tinnitus — Yawning Can Stop It for a Few Seconds

Hi all. I had a sudden onset of pulsatile tinnitus just 2 days ago. It started at night when I was trying to sleep. It's like I suddenly can hear my own heartbeat with my left ear. Today it stopped for a few hours and then came back again. I notice whenever I yawn, it will go away for a few...

What Were the Advances in Research for 2014?

I think if one's T is caused by hearing loss then the restoration of hearing should change or stop his T as brain is plastic and it should re-adapt again.

Retigabine (Trobalt, Potiga) — General Discussion

Sorry to hear about that but on the positive side it also means your T still can be change and that Trobalt has effect on your T. Other treatment like AM101 also reportedly made T worse initially and eventually gets better and better than baseline after some time. Though, i would not continue...

Retigabine (Trobalt, Potiga) — General Discussion

Very much agree. In fact, i would believe the opinion of those who have tried Retigabine than someone who have never try it.

Retigabine (Trobalt, Potiga) — General Discussion

Some of our friends here who tried Retigabine experience changes to their T and the effect can be replicated if they take it again. How could that be placebo!?

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

From what i read, intratympanic steroid injection or oral steroid could be effective for acoustic trauma with hearing loss. Without hearing loss the chance might be lower but you need to try this asap from onset for the steroid to work.

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

Maybe you can try some natural anti inflammatory supplements like Curcumin, Quercetin, Bromelain, Pycnogenol?

    Allergies/Inflammation Causing Tinnitus

Hi Kara, I know someone who had her T reduced significantly after few months of immunotherapy. From what I read your allergy will elevate when starting immunotherapy and then it will eventually lower after some time. Hope your T improve soon after the immunotherapy :)

    Tinnitus improved after travelling?

I think you have a pretty good ENT doctor there. Most doctor will just tell us to go back and live with it without any kind of thorough investigation. Keep us updated with your testing :)

    Tinnitus improved after travelling?

Initially, i thought about stress when i first experience this but after travelling for the sixth time since my T and that my T reduced significantly every time after that i don't think stress or positive thinking plays a big part. And prior to each of my travelling i'm not in any kind of high...
