    How to Cope?

Sorry to see that you are suffering. I don't really know what to say but if I were you, I would sign up for those AM-101 trials. I heard you're eligible for those trials if you have had Tinnitus for less than a year. The results seem promising so if I were you I would give it a shot. Good luck

Really Depressed and Anxious Mom. Really Would Like Support.

You seem really stressed about it. I know it's hard but try your best to calm yourself. Stress can cause tinnitus and it can also make it worse. I think you got your tinnitus from a cold, cause some colds can affect your ears leaving you with tinnitus. From reading your post it seems that your...

    Back to the Start

I voted for prolonged noise trauma but it's also possible that I could of gotten it from a slight cold cause I had earaches for a few days and my hearing was a bit muffled.

    Concerts/Shows

I wouldn't risk it. Loud noise exposure can still damage your hearing even with earplugs through bone conduction. I will never ever set foot in another nightclub again and I will never attend a concert. I strongly advise you to do the same but at the end of the day it's your choice, but if I...

    When Is Tinnitus Considered Permanent?

I heard if it's not gone in 2 and a half years, it's probably permanent. I read online a short time ago that some guy had it approximately for 2 years and 3 months, and seeing your Tinnitus isn't too loud there's hope :) Take magnesium tablets once a day to help its healing process :P

    Tinnitus Awareness in School

Some noises can hurt my ears. It can be a bit sensitive at times when I hear like sharp noises but it's pretty uncommon so I doubt it's hyperacusis. Yours sounds similar to mine so I think your fine there :) And yeah, it's hard to describe what your Tinnitus sounds like. I couldn't really...

4 weeks after blast injury, tinnitus still remains

Try take some magnesium tablets once a day. I read that they can help your ears to recover. I don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot. I'm taking them right now.

Sorry for the late reply. What do you mean by the sound sensitivity? Does some sounds hurt your ears?

    Tinnitus Awareness in School

I agree with you 100%. I have friends who go out to nightclubs almost every second week and they have been doing it for years. I know people who go to rock concerts almost every weekend. None of them ever heard of Tinnitus. I'm a chilled guy and stay at home most of the time keeping to myself...

    Feeling Devastated... Need Some Support.

I think you made the right descision. I would of done the same. It's better to be safe than sorry, right? I actually read an article on the internet a while ago which was a very similar story to yours, and that guy quit his rock band because of Tinnitus and he said he doesn't regret giving it up.

Question about flying with temporary Tinnitus.

Hello, I got Tinnitus four months ago from either, a nightclub or a very minor ear infection caused by a cold. My Tinnitus was always pretty low even when I first got it and it has improved a good bit since then, so I believe that it is slowly going. Since then, I'm avoiding any loud noise...

    Tinnitus Awareness/Research

Celebrities like Gerard Butler and Will.I.Am have Tinnitus. They could create awarness about Tinnitus but I don't see them talking too much about it. I'm sure they can make a huge difference.

    Does Tinnitus Change Loudness Temporarily?

It's probably a temporary spike. It will probably return to it's normal level soon enough. I'm sure you'll be fine :)
