Does hyperacusis get better? I’ve had tinnitus for 5 years and that has got better, but I developed hyperacusis 4 months ago and it’s so much worse than my tinnitus. I’m so isolated. I feel like I’m going to lose everything :(

@Brian Newman, I have the same tingling but it feels like it’s in my middle ear and around my neck. My hyperacusis seemed to have started around a week and a half ago. I’ve always had sound sensitivity since getting tinnitus about 5 years ago. Does this sound like noxacusis?

It seems like after I take Prednisone, it makes the hiss worse for a little bit, although it used to calm it down so I don't know, maybe I am just anxious and everything seems to make it worse.
